Time to Reinvent myself-my next personal challenge
Alzheimer’s and Cardiovascular Disease Prevention
365 days of improved “Wheelness” for Self and Others
It always starts with pressure building of being in a rut, followed by days spent contemplating the details of possibilities. Next comes the quiet before the storm, a time when the ideas come together; the pressure is building–then the flood of living a new life pours out.
The rain of change has begun.
My wife was given the notice “hold on, we’re going for another ride!”
I feel that forty years of studying science and a professional interest in health and wellness has given me a solid foundation. Health and wellness information is readily available but takes digging and sifting. With every new article I read, I ask the following: “Would this stand up to the scrutiny of the wisdom of the ages regarding successful longevity”? To me, this trumps the latest greatest capsule and gadget claiming to dip me into the fountain of youth.
There may be another major 180 degree breakthrough like the exercise in a pill,
but until proven I will wait to add it––I have a foundation to maintain.
My dad had a heart Attack in his early 60’s; his dementia became evident in his 80’s.
When I saw my picture at age 50 all I could think was “I turned into my dad”.
About three years ago I took a remarkable protocol training program,
The Bale Doneen method for Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention
Guaranteed arterial wellness: “The authors have been guaranteeing their patients’ arterial wellness for years with the method articulated in their book,…” pretty lofty claim, but they show awesome results when the patient is committed.
Get Drs. Bale and Doneen’s book–”Beat the Heart Attack Gene” if Cardiovascular Diseaase is concern of yours.
More recently, I trained in the Bredesen protocol for Alzheimer’s Disease prevention and reversal.
Alzheimer’s Disease seems to creep up on individuals until they fall off the cliff of no return. I admit to dropping a name every once in a while. I’m not waiting to see that cliff-edge before acting.
In both areas, I feel I’m doing well, but feel it’s time to ramp up my daily living for prevention to another level.
One thing I have learned is time and/or money is limited for most people, advancing health problems cost even more of both.
I will be sharing my new implementations daily. This shouldn’t be taken as medical advice. If my ideas speak to you, discuss them with your medical providers to determine value for your health. Each of us are unique individuals requiring a personalized plan.
My/our lives are works in progress, requiring continual reinvention; what are you going to make of yours this year? Follow me as I ride this storm of needed change.
